2MHost provides each Dedicated Container as fully active hosting environment, ready on day one to host your Web site. This fully managed environment allows us to provide you with the best possible performance and most up to date software.

If you would prefer to self-manage your Dedicated Container, we will provide you with root access to your hosting environment. With this access, we will no longer provide management for your Dedicated Container, and you will be responsible for all management and maintenance tasks.

2MHost provides premium technical support for self-managed (with root access) users who require assistance. This technical support is offered at $10 per incident.

2MHost doesn't support:

Unfortunately, 2MHost is unable to provide technical support (either free or paid) for any software installed beyond the initial setup components. This includes (but is not limited to) Java, Tomcat, postgreSQL, and others. Self-managed users are welcome to install whatever software they wish, but we will not be able to offer technical support for those installations.

Is 2MHost’s Dedicated Container a managed or unmanaged hosting solution?
2MHost provides two options for Dedicated Container hosting management. Most customers choose fully-managed hosting, provided at no additional charge. This management service includes pre-loading the hosting environment with a variety of applications and tools, as well as unlimited ongoing maintenance and support of these components.

Some customers wish to self-manage their Dedicated Container. 2MHost provides these users with root access, and the users are free to fully modify their hosting environment as needed. However, 2MHost is unable to provide additional technical support for modifications, and 2MHost no longer maintains software installations.

What are 2MHost’s Hardware Node Specifications?
2MHost uses Intel-5430 Dual processor quad core servers (total of 8 physical cores); 16GB of RAM; RAID protected hard drives; and secondary drives for cPanel automated data backup.

Where are 2MHost’s servers located?
For Dedicated Container (VPS nodes), servers are located in a datacenter in Washington, D.C., on the East Coast of the United States.

Where I can monitor my dedicated resources usage?
Self-managed users can check their resources usage directly within their Virtuozzo power panel. Managed users can monitor resources usage within WebHostManager (WHM).

Can I use my dedicated containers to resell Web hosting?
Yes! You are welcome to use your Dedicated Container however you see fit. However, you may be better served by our hosting reseller packages, which cater directly to resellers.

Are there any limitations on the content or software I can host?
In general, you are free to host whatever content or software you see fit. However, please note that our Terms of Service agreement applies to Dedicated Containers. for example, you are prohibited from hosting explicit adult content and sending mass-emails.
