Opening the lane.
The new office building sits on ShortLane in central Sydney, between two heritage warehouses restored by the same team in 2021. The concept opens the ground floor to a public laneway, linking the street to a planted courtyard behind the existing buildings.
A glazed upper deck frames views over the harbour, and slender steel columns keep the floor plates open and flexible for every future tenant.
Recycled brick from the original laneway warehouses lines the ground floor, connecting the new building to the history of the neighbourhood.
